Ryan was in his PhD program in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University when he decided to drop out and pursue his dream of creating startups. His first company was acquired by Google and he spent time working as a Product Manager at YouTube. Ryan started Parsable with partners, Chase Feiger and Yan-David Erlich in 2013 and he considers it to be the most audacious challenges he's taken on yet, with the potential to transform the lives of the 1.2 billion industrial workers around the globe.
Outside of Parsable Ryan is an active adviser and mentor to entrepreneurs through the prestigious Y Combinator accelerator program, as well as an occasional investor. Ryan enjoys practicing meditation and yoga. When he’s not meditating on the meaning of existence, he can be found playing music, flying planes as a private pilot, snowboarding, traveling, and learning new skills.
Fun Fact: Ryan once slept and fasted on a mountain in Death Valley by himself for four days.
